Art To Empower, formerly known as Move N Groove Kidz Garvey Program, has been dedicated to empowering individuals and communities since 2019. Now, we’re evolving to better reflect our mission and vision.
Our Mission
We provide quality enrichment programs that allow exposure to movement and music arts because all people, young and old, should have expansive opportunities unhindered by socioeconomic barriers or systemic limitations.
We are building a local community of empowered lifelong learners inspired by the arts. We will reach all ages and stages, meet learners where they are, and expand arts-based activities for a global community.
Our core commitment remains unchanged as we thrive with two flagship programs:
Move N Groove Kidz: Serving 5 preschools year-round—Blooming Pot, CCLA, Lynn’s Playpen, Serenity Childcare 2, and Tiny Tigers—where families don’t pay thanks to the investment of the preschool owners, grants, and individual donations.
Capoeira Chattanooga: Providing classes in the summer and throughout the year at Reach One Teach One, Girls Inc, Chambliss Center for Children, and more. We also host 4 events each year, free and open to the public, as a way to introduce and grow capoeira in Chattanooga.
