Hutchins Senior Earns MTSU Presidential Honor

Hutchins Academy proudly announces that University Collegiate High senior Jamaal Quinones has received an admission offer from Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) and the Presidential Scholarship. The scholarship would provide $4,500 per academic year for four years, totaling $18,000 in educational support.

"This opportunity means everything to me, and I couldn't have achieved it without my mother's unwavering support," said Quinones. "She has always pushed me to excel academically and believed in my potential, even during challenging times. Her sacrifices and dedication to my education have made this moment possible."

The Presidential Scholarship is one of MTSU's most distinguished academic awards. It recognizes students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and leadership potential.

Marie Mott, Founder of Hutchins Academy, expressed pride in Quinones' accomplishment: "Jamaal exemplifies the dedication and academic excellence we foster at Hutchins Academy. This prestigious offer from MTSU is just one of several outstanding opportunities our students have received this year. Our 2024 cohort has shown remarkable promise, with  our seniors already receiving college acceptances and over $2.9 million scholarship offers."

Hutchins Academy continues to build on its academic excellence and college preparedness legacy. With the 2024 senior class on track to surpass previous years' achievements in both college acceptances and scholarship offers, the academy remains committed to empowering students like Quinones to reach their highest potential and access life-changing educational opportunities.
